A Happy Ending on the Horizon
Fans of Chicago P.D. have been on a rollercoaster ride with Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger). After seasons of “will-they-won’t-they” drama, the couple finally got engaged for real. The next big question is, when and how will the wedding take place? Showrunner Gwen Sigan hinted at exciting plans in a recent interview with TV Line.
Planning the Big Day
"I’m very excited to get into it,” Sigan shared. “So few times on this show do you get these really happy moments.” Although she didn’t confirm if the wedding would happen in Season 12, the anticipation is building. “I think it’ll be fun [to write],” Sigan continued. “There’s definitely a possibility of, ‘Are we going to do the wedding next year? Are we going to do the planning? What are we going to see?’ So, I’m excited to figure out all of that.”
From Low-Key Proposal to a Grand Celebration?
Burgess and Ruzek’s proposal was an intimate affair, reflecting their personal growth. Sigan called it "so them," adding, “They’ve been through so much and they have grown so much that it was just this very honest, small, intimate moment between the two of them.
