Ask any die-hard Bridgerton fan this one question and they’ll answer straight away: How long did it take you to watch season one of Bridgerton for the first time? It personally took me about eight hours in one go on Boxing Day 2020.
And why was it possible to watch the whole season in such a short space of time?Simply put, it only has eight episodes. Our initial disappointment over the brevity of the season was offset by our hope that such a short series would mean a quicker release for the next season.
But, oh, how we were mistaken. The follow-up season didn't grace our screens until two years later.

The protracted wait between seasons is leading to growing frustrations among loyal viewers. Initially, the short eight-episode run seemed like a brilliant idea—compact, engaging, and easy to binge. But the subsequent two-year hiatus? It's almost unbearable. Fans find themselves waiting endlessly, increasingly anxious about the future of the series.
This level of anticipation can often shift from excitement to resentment.
As many other frustrated Bridgerton fans have pointed out, each season only has eight hour-long episodes.
