Jensen Ackles, the heartthrob who shot to fame playing Dean Winchester in "Supernatural," might be known for his brooding good looks and epic battles with demons, but there's another side to the actor that many fans still remember: his days as the charming Eric Brady on "Days of Our Lives."

Ackles’s time in Salem, a world filled with love, betrayal, and a dash of the supernatural, was a pivotal moment in his career.
He landed the role of Eric, the younger Brady brother, in 1997, joining the soap opera at the age of 19.
Ackles quickly made his mark on the show, captivating audiences with his chemistry with Arianne Zucker, who played Nicole Walker. Their love story, known as “Ericole,” became a fan favorite.
“The chemistry between the two actors was off the charts,” a source told Monsters and Critics. “Jensen didn’t just get mad props for the romance storylines but also for portraying Eric as the nice twin to Hurricane Sami (Alison Sweeney) and her scheming ways.
”
Ackles earned a Best Male Newcomer Award from Soap Opera Digest and Daytime Emmy Nominations for Younger Actor in 1999 and 2000, proving that he was a force to be reckoned with.
