A Joyful Announcement
Vanessa Ray, known for her role as Eddie Janko on "Blue Bloods," and her husband Landon Beard, have recently embraced parenthood. The couple joyfully announced the adoption of their baby boy, Isaac Ray Beard, who was born on November 7th. The 42-year-old actress shared their heartwarming journey to parenthood, revealing the whirlwind process that led them to their son.

An Overwhelming Sensation of Family
Vanessa shared with People, "My husband and I weren’t totally sure if we were going to have kids, at what point in our life that made sense and all those things." She recalled a pivotal moment while on set. "I was at work one day, honestly about to do a family dinner scene, and I just had this overwhelming sensation of family and what I love about our life."
One of the first people Vanessa confided in was her co-star Bridget Moynahan. Bridget encouraged her to speak with Peter Hermann, who, alongside his wife Mariska Hargitay, had adopted children.
Vanessa, who had never met Peter, was fortunate to have a scene with him in the next script. “Graciously, he really held our hand and walked us through everything we needed to know about adoption,” she recalled.
