Emily Wickersham, the actress who played beloved NCIS agent Ellie Bishop, has finally opened up about leaving the show after eight seasons, revealing a whirlwind of emotions, new beginnings, and a surprising new chapter.

"It took a while... it's all consuming"
Wickersham's departure from the show was sudden, leaving many fans heartbroken. Now, she's revealed the emotional toll of saying goodbye to a show that had become her life for nearly a decade.
"It took a while," she admits in a recent interview with her former co-stars Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly. "I left the show, I found out I was pregnant a month later… So it was a combo of decompressing and trying to really relax and figure out how things were going to be without work."
The actress acknowledges the demanding nature of the show, saying, "Your life is all NCIS when you're on that show. It’s all day, every day, and you're not really left with much time to do many things outside of that.
So that was a real adjustment for me."
