Born in West London in 1962, Eamonn Walker's journey to stardom was anything but conventional. Initially trained as a dancer, Walker joined London's Explosive Dance Theatre Company. However, a severe injury cut his dancing career short. This setback turned into a blessing, pushing him towards his true calling—acting. Inspired by Sidney Poitier’s performance in "In the Heat of the Night," Walker embarked on a new path, debuting in the 1983 stage production of "Labelled with Love.

Walker’s talent flourished on stage, leading him to historic roles. In 2007, he became the first Black actor to portray Othello at the Globe Theatre in London. This performance was a monumental moment, as it was also the first production of Othello at the reconstructed theatre. Walker’s portrayal of Marc Antony in New York's Belasco Theatre’s production of "Julius Caesar" in 2005, alongside Denzel Washington, further solidified his reputation as a Shakespearean powerhouse.
Walker’s television career began with a guest role in the 1985 series "Dempsey and Makepeace." He steadily built his resume with appearances in British shows like "In Sickness and in Health" and "The Bill.
