There’s growing discontent within the England rugby team regarding head coach Steve Borthwick’s current training methods. As the team enters a new Rugby World Cup cycle, Borthwick has implemented significant changes to their attacking and defensive strategies. South African defensive specialist Felix Jones has been brought in to introduce a Springboks-like system, which Borthwick aims to perfect much faster than the 14 games it took South Africa.

Several players have reportedly expressed frustration over the heavy emphasis on defensive drills, which they feel has led to a neglect of their attacking skills. This imbalance was starkly evident in their recent Calcutta Cup defeat, where numerous handling errors plagued their performance.
