Bold & Beautiful fans were in for a treat when the show recently brought back a familiar face—Will Spencer, the son of Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). However, this time, Will is portrayed by a fresh new talent, Crew Morrow, and his arrival on-screen has sparked excitement both on and off the set.
For Heather Tom, the role of Will has always held a special significance.
Back in 2012, during her real-life pregnancy, Tom approached B&B executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, with the idea of incorporating her pregnancy into the show. As a result, Katie's pregnancy became part of the storyline, and the character of Will was born. What makes this connection even more personal is that Tom’s own son, Zane Achor, played Will on the show from 2013 to 2016.
Tom expressed her joy at seeing the character of Will return to the screen, especially as the role is now being portrayed by Crew Morrow, the real-life son of Young & Restless star Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman).
The connection between the two soap families runs deep, as Tom and Joshua Morrow previously worked together during her time on Y&R, where she portrayed Victoria Newman, Nick's sister.
