Neil Patrick Harris and Mayim Bialik, two beloved television stars, have a history that goes back to their teenage years. Both began their acting careers as child stars in the 1980s, sharing the same agent and running in the same social circles. Bialik recalls, "Neil Patrick Harris and I were friends as teenagers. We had the same agent and we ran in the same social circles. He was very cerebral and I was too, so we weren’t the party kids. We had a lot of fun times together as teenagers.
" Their intellectual compatibility and mutual support formed a solid foundation for their friendship.

Their friendship hit a rough patch in the early 1990s when Harris landed a role in the rock musical "Rent." Bialik, despite not being a huge Broadway fan, attended the show to support her friend. However, her reaction during the standing ovation caused a rift.
Sitting in the second row, she turned to her then-boyfriend and said, "I am not going to stand up for this." Unfortunately, Harris overheard this comment, leading to an uncomfortable confrontation backstage.
