Big Bang Theory Gets a Second Spinoff Series From Creator Chuck Lorre
A new Big Bang Theory spinoff series is in the works from Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre.
Max (formerly known as HBO Max) announced Lorre, who co-created The Big Bang Theory alongside Bill Prady, is working on a new spinoff series following the success of Young Sheldon. Plot details are being kept under wraps at this time. Lorre will executive produce the show -- a collaboration between himself, Max and Warner Bros.

The Big Bang Theory debuted in Sept. 2007 on CBS. The show lasted for a total of 12 seasons and 279 before ending its run in May 2019. Starring Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar and Mayim Bialik, the sitcom revolves around a group of socially awkward friends navigating life as they share an apartment together in Pasadena, California. The Big Bang Theory won ten Emmy Awards and 55 nominations in various categories during its run.
Young Sheldon, The Big Bang Theory's first spinoff series, launched in Nov. 2016. Created by Lorre and Steven Molaro, the prequel series stars Iain Armitage as a younger version of Parson's character.
