We’re all excited to finally find out which famous actors will be making cameos in the new Deadpool and Wolverine film, but some of our suspicions might have actually been deliberate leaks?!
The film’s executive producer had admitted that there could have possibly been some deliberate fake leaks planted on the internet and in-person in order to throw fans off the scent.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, the film’s executive producer Wendy Jacobson admitted there “may or may not have been some subterfuge and misdirections on the internet or in-person in order to protect the secrecy.
”
She continued: “I can neither confirm nor deny any cameos in this film but I will say, in terms of characters that may or may not appear, it was always important to us that nothing in this movie feels like a gimmick. Anyone showing up has a crucial story purpose or a beginning, middle, and end as a character arc. It was definitely a collaborative process of seeing who fit in and who didn’t.”
Okay, but can you imagine if Lady Deadpool was revealed to be Taylor Swift herself? I think we would all collectively lose our minds.
Director Shawn Levy also knew leaks about cameos would happen, especially as they decided to film Deadpool and Wolverine on location. He explained to Digital Spy: “We made a choice early on.
