The Long Wait: Droughtlander Returns
Outlander fans have been eagerly waiting for the continuation of Season 7. The series went on hiatus after the intense midseason finale aired in August 2023. This break, often referred to as "Droughtlander," has left viewers longing for the return of their favorite characters and storylines. Fortunately, the end of the drought is now in sight.
A Journey Back to Scotland
When we last saw Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), and young Ian (John Bell), they had returned to their homeland of Scotland.
Meanwhile, Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) had made the bold decision to leave his wife behind in the 1980s and travel back to the 19th Century to find their son, Jemmy, who they believe was taken through the stones.
Official Return Date Announced
For months, fans were kept in the dark about the exact return date of Outlander. Finally, Starz has announced that the second part of Season 7 will premiere on Friday, November 22, in the US. This comes more than 15 months after the midseason finale, much to the relief of the fanbase.
Streaming and Air Times
The first episode of the new half-season will be available at midnight on the Starz streaming service, app, and on demand.
