Being a Pom in a newsroom full of enthusiastic South Africans is never easy, especially when the Springboks dominate headlines. For the past few years, I’ve had to balance the banter with my own sense of fairness, but something changed this season – I can’t help but appreciate just how good this South African team has become.
Since Rassie Erasmus took the reins, the Springboks have ascended to a level of rugby brilliance rarely seen before. With back-to-back World Cup wins and an ever-expanding pool of talent, it’s hard to argue against their dominance.
