Natalie Dormer's Margaery Tyrell, along with many others, went out in a very explosive fashion with her death in HBO's hit series Game of Thrones. Looking back at Margaery's demise, Dormer can remember how frustrated she was with her character's death, but she's nevertheless happy for the vindication.
Dormer discussed Margaery's death in a recent interview for Collider Ladies Night (per GamesRadar). While she admits that she felt "frustrated" over how Margaery died, Dormer suggested that it actually helped for her to feel that way, given how the character herself was also very frustrated in the scene.
In the end, Margaery was given some vindication as she was proven to be right, though not without the cost of her life and so many others. That was enough for Dormer to make peace with letting go of Margaery, despite her frustrations.
"I was frustrated that she went that way, but then, she was frustrated in the scene," she said. "So of course she deserved better. I wanted more but she's so frustrated in that moment with Jonathan [Pryce] so that's part of it, that's how you know you're doing it right.
"
Dormer added, "She's vindicated in the end, it's a couple sentences, but it's all that needs to be said. She was vindicated and I felt like I could let her go in that moment.
