Supernatural fans were treated to an emotionally charged rollercoaster as Dean Winchester went to extreme lengths – like, literally extreme – to get his brother Sam's soul back. We're talking about a shady Chinatown butcher shop run by Robert Englund (yes, that Robert Englund), a deal with Death himself, and a whole lot of angst.

Let's just say Death doesn't do refunds.
Dean struck a bargain: become Death for 24 hours and Sam gets his soul back. Seems simple, right? Wrong. Dean quickly learned that reaping souls wasn't as badass as it looked.
His first kill, a robber, was easy. "Bastard deserved it," Dean muttered, feeling the weight of his temporary job title. But then came a pizza-loving dude clutching his chest, followed by a young nurse in a car accident. Death wasn't picky.
The real test came in the form of a little girl, her life fading fast due to a heart condition.
Dean, ever the softie for kids, couldn't bring himself to do it. Talk about a crisis of conscience – and a cosmic imbalance that threatened to unravel the very fabric of existence!
Meanwhile, Sam, the soul-less wonder, wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of Dean messing with his, uh, lack of a soul. Cue the Winchester drama! Sam, with the help of a snarky angel (Balthazar, you devilish delight!), went on his own mission to block Dean's plan, even resorting to attacking Bobby!

"So is this the part where you pull a gun on me and lock me in the panic room?" Sam snarled, giving Bobby the soulless stare-down.
"Do I have to?" Bobby sighed, probably wishing he’d invested in a good therapist instead of salt rounds.
In the end, Death, the ultimate wingman, stepped in and returned Sam's soul. But with a catch, of course. "Don't scratch the wall," he warned, leaving us with a sense of impending doom.
Sam's bloodcurdling scream as his soul returned confirmed it: this ain't over.
