We start by meeting Lucky, a dog found in critical condition by the side of the road. The sight of him was heartbreaking—emaciated, injured, and on the brink of death. Our team acted swiftly, transporting him to our hospital where we began an intensive evaluation.
Lucky was diagnosed with multiple severe conditions: leishmaniasis, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, and heartworm, also known as filariasis. His plight was dire, and without immediate intervention, his chances of survival were slim.
In his initial days at the hospital, Lucky's condition was grave. He was blind, weak, and suffering from severe infections. The veterinary team began a rigorous treatment regimen, addressing his parasitic infections and providing supportive care. Despite these efforts, a new concern emerged—Lucky had developed cancer in the form of lymphoma under his tongue.
This complication added a layer of complexity to his already challenging recovery.
