Hold onto your capes (and your stomachs) because "The Boys" universe is about to get a whole lot more twisted. Brace yourselves for "Vought Rising," a deliciously dark prequel series that promises to expose the scandalous origins of Vought International and the super-powered maniacs they unleashed upon the world.

That's right, Jensen Ackles is back as the gloriously unhinged Soldier Boy, but this time, he's trading in his present-day cynicism for a healthy dose of 1950s swagger.
The announcement, which sent shockwaves through Comic-Con, revealed that "Vought Rising" will transport viewers to the glamorous (and morally bankrupt) world of New York City at the dawn of the Cold War.

“Think 'Mad Men' meets 'Watchmen,' with a sprinkle of 'The Twilight Zone' thrown in for good measure,” one excited fan commented on Twitter.
And if Ackles' return wasn't enough to send fans into a frenzy, the prequel is bringing back another fan-favorite (and certifiably terrifying) character: Aya Cash's Stormfront!
