Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when you've spent years inhabiting a beloved fictional world. For Michael Easton, who played Dr. Hamilton Finn on "General Hospital" since 2016, leaving Port Charles has been a rollercoaster of emotions.

In a candid interview with Soap Opera Digest, Easton confessed that the sudden nature of his departure made it even harder to process.
"I do appreciate the writers giving me so much material going out the door," Easton acknowledged, "but from an actor's standpoint, I would have liked to have had just a little more time to add a little more subtlety and a little more nuance to it.
"
Adding to the emotional weight, Easton found himself bidding farewell to colleagues while simultaneously grappling with the finality of his character's storyline.

"Every day was emotional," Easton revealed, "because every day was not only doing the work, it was also saying goodbye."
Remembering Those Lost: Finding Strength in Shared Experiences
Easton's words were filled with a poignant blend of sadness and gratitude as he reflected on his time on the show, particularly the friendships forged and the memories made.
He spoke fondly of his co-stars, expressing how difficult it was to say goodbye to each of them.
He specifically mentioned cherished moments with Jane Elliot (Tracy), Josh Swickard (Chase), and Becky Herbst (Elizabeth).
