Jordan’s Fearless Persona
Michael Jordan, the basketball legend known for his unshakable confidence and dominance on the court, recently revealed a surprising confession. Despite his six NBA championships and bulletproof mentality, there was one moment when he felt a bit intimidated. This rare admission came during an interview on The Ringer’s Icons Club podcast with Jackie MacMullan.

The Shaq Factor
The intimidating presence Jordan spoke of was none other than Shaquille O'Neal. Standing at 7 foot 1 and weighing around 300 pounds, Shaq was a formidable opponent. “When I came back from baseball, I don’t know if I’ve ever told anyone this, I’m playing against Shaq,” Jordan recounted. “Shaq’s the biggest person I’ve ever seen play, in terms of physicality. He was this big, massive guy when I came back from baseball, so I was somewhat intimidated.”

A Gentle Giant
Jordan shared a specific encounter that highlighted Shaq's intimidating yet kind nature. During a game, Shaq sent Jordan crashing to the floor with a powerful block.
