After months on the run, a stunning yet impoverished mother sought refuge in an orphanage. There, she sang a lullaby to her infant son, Lu Shu, before being forced out by the orphanage owner. Desperate, she left Lu Shu in the care of the orphanage lady, promising to return with medicine. However, she vanished, leaving behind only a pendant. Eighteen years later, Lu Shu had become a destitute young man, taking care of his younger sister Xiao Yu despite his financial struggles. He spent what little money he had on festival tickets to bring her joy.

One night at a festival, Lu Shu’s face was nearly scorched by the flames of a magical performance. At that moment, time seemed to freeze, and his pendant glowed golden. Despite his deception, the leader of the group remained suspicious, proposing a dubious business offer which Lu Shu declined.
As Lu Shu and Xiao Yu left, Lu Shu, reflecting on their grim world where violence was commonplace, felt despondent.
