On Sunday, the world witnessed an extraordinary spectacle as Tom Cruise performed a "Mission: Impossible"-style stunt at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The 62-year-old actor, famed for his daring feats in movies, once again proved that age is just a number. His appearance was not just a show of skills but also a symbolic handover of the Olympic Games to Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Olympics.
Dressed in an iconic jumpsuit, Cruise made his way to the top of the Stade de France, only to leap off it just moments later.
As he descended, attached to a safety wire, the audience held their breath in a mix of awe and excitement. The spectacle was enhanced by the electrifying rock guitar tunes played by the band H.E.R., adding a surge of energy to the already thrilling atmosphere.

Once on stage, Cruise met with and shook hands with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and gold medalist Simone Biles.Cruise was then given the Olympic flag and ran off to a motorcycle waiting for him, where he attached the flag to the bike and rode out of the stadium.
From there, Cruise drove through the streets of Pairs -- that is, he did so in a pre-recorded segment that saw the actor get on a plane and fly the flag to Los Angeles.
