Penny, the aspiring actress and girl-next-door from The Big Bang Theory, became a sitcom icon thanks to Kaley Cuoco's brilliant portrayal. The show ran for twelve seasons, and Penny's chemistry with her nerdy neighbors, Leonard and Sheldon, provided some of the most hilarious moments. However, Cuoco recently revealed that her time on the show wasn't always sunshine and roses.
"Really, you guys? This is what's happening?" - Kaley Cuoco's Least Favorite Episode
Despite The Big Bang Theory's immense success, not every plotline resonated with Cuoco.
The actress confessed to despising a particular episode in Season 7 titled "The Serial Ape-ist." In this episode, Penny, struggling to make it as an actress, lands a role that requires her to be completely covered in ape-like hair. Cuoco was vehemently against the scene, finding it completely absurd and embarrassing for her character.
"The worst experience was filming Serial Ape-ist and getting covered in hair from head to toe," she revealed, still sounding bewildered by the ordeal. "I was like, 'Really, you guys? This is what’s happening?'"
She even pleaded with the show's creators, Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, to cut the storyline, arguing that it wasn't beneficial to Penny's character development.
