Jim Parsons offers a candid response when asked about the possibility of Sheldon's return after Young Sheldon. Despite long outgrowing its original premise and having an identity separate from its parent series, the Young Sheldon finalere-established its ties to The Big Bang Theory by bringing Parsons back as the titular character.
