Stealing from a film set might seem like a scandalous act, but for the cast of Bridgerton, it's almost a rite of passage. Each actor has their own story to share about what they smuggled out, ranging from the humorous to the downright embarrassing.
Luke Newton, known for his role as Colin, caused quite the stir when he admitted to nabbing expensive jewelry from the set. While his actions landed him in hot water with the producers, he isn't the only one to have pilfered. The list of souvenirs ranges from socks to something as personal as thong underwear.
One has to wonder, what prompts these actors to take such risks?

Luke ThompsonLuke Thompson, who plays Benedict in Bridgerton admitted in an interview with Vanity Fair he had stolen some socks from the set. He explained: “The costume department chased me and asked ‘Luke, where are your socks? '” He explained that he took them because he’d “run out of socks” and had finished filming for the day and decided to keep them on.
Luke NewtonLuke is the leading man of this season and when asked by Lorraine whether he had ever stolen something from the set he immediately admitted “I have.
”
He revealed that he’d taken: “A ring that Colin wore. I tried to take the ring.” But he confessed that he’d immediately got a message from the producers and had to return the ring. As for why he wasn’t allowed to keep the piece of jewellery, Luke explained: “For the future of the show, they needed that all contained.”

Jonathan BaileyJonathan also revealed he once took home and wore a very embarrassing item from the set, and what is it with Bridgerton leading men and stealing? Well, awkwardly for him he accidentally wore his modesty thong to the pub, telling the Los Angeles Times in 2022: “I was so appalled at myself over the day that we had experienced and so confused, because you can’t really explain it to anyone.
I went to a pub that night and had a pint with my mates.

“When I got up to get the second round, I was like, ‘I’m chafing a bit. ’ And I realised I still had my modesty thong on because I was so traumatised and I ran so quickly from set that I hadn’t even taken off my little pouch. I still have it to this day.” I would simply pass away from the sheer horror.
