David Boreanaz, known for his role as Jason Hayes in 'SEAL Team,' recently opened up about his decision to leave the show and his thoughts on its final season. For Boreanaz, Season 7 wasn’t just another chapter; it was the fitting conclusion to a character's journey that he felt needed to end on a high note.

In an interview with TV Insider, Boreanaz reflected on his departure, explaining that he knew well before the writers' strike that Season 7 would be his last.
“The trauma is your first kill. How do you deal with that? Starting the season, it was like, ‘Okay, this is the perfect way to wrap that cycle up for this character,’” Boreanaz shared. He felt that the trajectory of his character, Jason Hayes, had naturally reached its conclusion, making the decision to leave both clear and inevitable.
Boreanaz's decision to step away from 'SEAL Team' wasn’t a snap judgment. It was a culmination of various factors, both personal and professional. “A few things,” he explained, “My body physically and mentally had found a space that was in sync with the character and knew that that would no longer continue.
” For him, the end of Jason Hayes’s story was more than just a plotline; it was a personal realization that it was time to move on.
The actor noted that his departure was influenced by his character’s development throughout the series.
