Hold onto your fedoras, "General Hospital" fans! Maurice Benard, the man who embodies the intimidating Sonny Corinthos, recently channeled his on-screen persona to defend former co-star Bryan Craig from disrespect on set. Sounds like someone needs a reminder that Sonny doesn't play about family, even the fictional kind!

The drama went down during a live taping of Benard's podcast "State of Mind" at the recent "GH" Fan Club Weekend.
Craig joined his on-screen dad to reminisce about their time working together, particularly during Morgan's hard-hitting bipolar storyline. But what started as a walk down memory lane took a turn when Benard recounted an incident that left him seeing red.
"I was doing a scene with an actress and Bryan, and I didn’t have many lines, she didn’t have many lines… he had a sh** load, like monologues,” Benard recalled, setting the stage for the tense encounter. “He does the scenes, and after the scenes, the way they were speaking to him… just wasn’t cool.
”

While Benard remained tight-lipped about the identity of the other actor, his protective instincts, much like his on-screen counterpart, were clearly triggered.
