Teachers Seize Disco Equipment from 12-Year-Old Boy Who Hosted Rave in School Toilets
It wasn’t your typical school day at St. Antony’s Catholic College in Greater Manchester. A daring 12-year-old, Cael Bell, turned his school’s boys' bathroom into an unexpected rave venue, sparking a mix of laughter and bewilderment among teachers, parents, and the public.
Cael’s mini-rave wasn’t an impromptu decision; it was meticulously planned. A week before the event, he took to Snapchat to advertise his underground “toilet rave,” inviting all the boys from Year 8.
The buzz spread quickly, and on December 11, his classmates showed up, lured by promises of music, Cadbury Twirls, and Lucozade. Armed with speakers, lights, and his DJ skills, Cael transformed the mundane into something extraordinary, at least for 30 minutes.

The excitement, however, was short-lived. Teachers, alerted by the commotion, crashed the party and seized Cael’s equipment.
While some might have expected anger or reprimand, the reactions were surprisingly varied. “I couldn’t help but laugh,” Cael’s mother, Louise Bell, said when she received the call from the school.
