Mike's career began in Nebraska, where he was drawn to the profession and eventually moved to Los Angeles to attend the California College of Mortuary Science. His journey took a significant turn when he was recommended by Bill Jay, a casket salesman, to Jim Pierce of Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park.
This recommendation came at a pivotal time when Pierce Brothers was in need of a new director, and Mike’s expertise proved to be just what was needed.
