The world of celebrity funerals holds a unique fascination, blending the personal with the public in a way few professions do. Today, we're diving into this intriguing field with Mike Steen, renowned as the "Funeral Director to the Stars" by GQ magazine. With a career spanning nearly six decades, Mike has seen it all and worked with some of Hollywood's most iconic figures.

This group was a haven for those fascinated by graves and the stories they tell. Mike’s extensive experience in the funeral industry, particularly with high-profile clients, makes him a fascinating subject for discussion.
Mike Steen’s Journey in the Funeral Industry
Mike's career began in Nebraska, where he was drawn to the profession and eventually moved to Los Angeles to attend the California College of Mortuary Science. This recommendation came at a pivotal time when Pierce Brothers was in need of a new director, and Mike’s expertise proved to be just what was needed.
