The anime begins with a fierce battle between two great houses, each waving their banners on opposite sides of the battlefield. However, a truce is called as a greater threat looms over the continent of ancient Japan—a demonic dragon named Zot, whose devastating power threatens to destroy everything in its path. This dragon is unlike any other, wreaking havoc and destruction every time it awakens, leaving entire towns and villages in ashes. No one has ever been strong enough to delay Zot’s attacks, resulting in countless civilian casualties.
In this world, two renowned mages, known for their incredible powers and revered by the people, birthed a son named Hero. One fateful night, as the fighting ceased, these mages declared that they must seal the dragon before it was too late. Soldiers and cloaked men gathered, waiting for Zot to appear so they could finally seal him for good. Under the eerie light of a purple moon, Hero’s mother, a famous witch known not only for her powerful magic but also her exceptional swordsmanship, set herself up as bait to lure the dragon.
As she screamed for help, Zot emerged, attracted by her ruse.
