Get ready for a wild ride back to the 1950s, "The Boys" fans, because Amazon just dropped a bombshell: a prequel series titled "Vought Rising" is officially in the works, and Jensen Ackles, the fan-favorite actor who brought the morally ambiguous Soldier Boy to life, is leading the charge.

Ackles Makes a Surprise Comic-Con Appearance
The announcement came during "The Boys" Comic-Con panel, sending the audience into a frenzy.
Ackles, who made a surprise appearance, described the prequel as a "lurid pulp saga prequel," hinting at a darker, grittier origin story for the corrupt superhero corporation Vought International.
Soldier Boy and Stormfront: A Diabolical Duo
"Vought Rising" promises a twisted tale of murder, mayhem, and the early days of Vought's reign. Ackles will reprise his role as Soldier Boy, exploring the character's origins and his rise to fame as Vought's golden boy (before, well, you know, things got complicated).

And in a twist that's sure to delight (and perhaps horrify) fans, Aya Cash will also return as Stormfront, the Nazi-sympathizing supe who met a rather gruesome end in Season 2.
