Leon Fu Barford was a player who despised the "Oum" game, a fantasy world where women hold all the power, the characters are pretentious, and the world-building is peculiar. After enduring relentless blackmail from his sister to conquer the game, Leon completed it and set out to find a meal. However, fate took a dramatic turn when he fell down the stairs and was reincarnated into the game’s world. In his new life as Leon Fu Barford, he has lost all memories of his previous existence but gradually regains them, realizing he is trapped in the very game he once loathed.

Ten years later, Leon finds himself in the Barford family, a background or mob character not featured prominently in the game. Initially, he considers using his knowledge of the game to dominate his new world. However, as time passes, his ambitions wane, and he decides to seek a simpler happiness as a minor character.
Leon’s peaceful existence is disrupted when Zola, his father’s new wife who married him for the family’s survival, arranges a marriage for him.
To his dismay, the bride is a fifty-year-old, overweight woman who has been married seven times. Leon suspects she is interested in him only for his survivor pension.
