Fans hoping for a heartwarming reunion between "Supernatural" alums Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in "The Boys" Season 5 might need to temper their expectations. While both actors are confirmed to return for the final season, a recent plot twist has made a traditional reunion highly unlikely.
Season 4 of "The Boys" threw viewers a curveball by revealing that Morgan's character, the menacing Joe Kessler, was nothing more than a figment of Butcher's (Karl Urban) V-addled imagination.
While Kessler served as Butcher's moral compass (or lack thereof) throughout the season, his non-corporeal status puts a damper on any hopes of a face-to-face encounter with Ackles' Soldier Boy.
