Grab your tissues, "General Hospital" fans, because Port Charles just got a whole lot less glamorous! Jacqueline Grace Lopez, who brought the fiery and fabulous Blaze to life, is saying goodbye to the show. But it wasn't a planned departure, and Lopez is getting real about her unexpected exit.

Lopez, who joined the cast in 2022, took to Instagram to share the news with her fans, and her heartfelt message was filled with raw emotion.
"Not gonna lie, this goodbye hurts,” she confessed. "I think because I didn’t see it coming.” She went on to describe the deep connection she formed with the cast and crew during her two years on set: "When you spend almost two years with this group, you start to feel like part of the fabric."

The outpouring of love from fans was immediate. "I'm heartbroken for Jacqueline, but I'm so grateful for the way she brought Blaze to life," one fan commented on her post.
Another added, "Blaze's journey as a gay Latina resonated with so many people. This is a huge loss."
