As 'House of the Dragon' concluded, fans were left with a swirl of emotions, primarily centered around the enigmatic vision experienced by Daemon Targaryen at Harrenhal. This final vision was not just a fleeting image, but a rich tapestry of symbols that have kept the audience debating ever since. Let’s unravel the layers of this intricate vision and understand its deeper implications.
In Daemon’s vision, several key elements stood out - the reappearance of Daenerys Targaryen, the ever-menacing White Walkers, and even a shadowy hint of his own demise.
Each of these images plays a pivotal role in both enthralling and confusing the viewers. Despite the series concluding, these visions open doors to multiple interpretations.

During the House of the Dragon finale, Daemon was constructed by Alys Rivers to touch the creepy Weirwood Tree in Harrenhal and receive a vision. Once he did, Daemon saw a huge variation of future events including the Three Eyed Raven, White Walkers, Daemon drowning and Daenerys with her dragons.
The scene showing the White Walkers and Night King helps to incentivise Daemon to return to Rhaenyra, as whilst the attack doesn’t happen for another 175 years later, Daemon doesn’t know that.
Instead, Daemon now knows Westeros could come under attack at any time and since his vision also showed Rhaenyra sitting on the throne, he pledges his allegiance to her.

He also saw fan favourite Daenerys, which some fans think is proof she is the Prince That Was Promised. She appeared along with her three dragons Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. Seeing a Targaryen and the important role they have to play in the future yet again makes Daemon realise the importance of ensuring their family name lives on and is able to protect Westeros from the looming threat.
Whilst Daemon has already been told by Alys Rivers that he’ll die at Harrenhal, it seems he saw how. In the vision, he sees a battlefield and a dead dragon, followed by a shot of him drowning. In the book, Daemon dies after fighting Aemond above Harrenhal, and after stabbing Aemond in the eye he falls off his dragon and to his death. His body is never found, however, leading some to think that Daemon actually becomes the Night King.
