Robert Rhodes, widely known for his role as Silver Dannys in the captivating series ‘House of the Dragon,’ has recently taken to social media to address a personal and hurtful issue. The talented actor, whose performances have mesmerized audiences, found himself on the receiving end of harsh criticism from certain fans. These fans have gone as far as to describe his facial appearance as "deformed," an accusation Rhodes was compelled to respond to publicly.

He revealed that since appearing on House of the Dragon, he’s received nasty comments about his birthmark, with some fans calling it “incorrect” and saying he looks “half-formed.”
Robert was naturally born with a large facial birthmark due to a condition called congenital melanocytic nevus and was left with scarring following numerous surgeries to remove it when he was younger. One post that affected Robert Rhodes was from Twitter, with one fan talking about Silver Denys in House of the Dragon and his appearance.
They wrote: “That is his actual face which is deformed from a birthmark.”In an interview with BBC Radio London, he explained: “I’m not incorrect, I’m not half-formed, I’m just little old me who happens to look a bit different.
There was no malice in the comment that was posted but it’s hard to see allyship when a word like that is used. It’s one of those words that kind of gives me the ick, I think it gives a lot of people the ick. The first thing you think of is this kind of alien creature.”

In the original book, Silver Denys is an illegitimate Targaryen who claims to be from Maegor the Cruel’s line and wishes to become a dragonrider.
He gets his own storyline where he goes off to the Vale of Arryn in an attempt to try and tame Sheepstealer, but as you can imagine it doesn’t end up too well.
In the show, we see him briefly trying his luck at Dragonstone but once again, he ends up getting eaten by Vermithor, what bad luck!
